Finding the Right Fit

As much as we want to learn about you, we think it’s just as important for you to learn about us. Throughout the day, we’ll give you an in-depth overview of our company and culture, and provide various opportunities for you to ask thoughtful questions so you can walk away feeling confident that you understand who we are and what we’re all about.

Tips to Approach Your Interviews

Not sure how to approach those challenging behavioral questions? The STAR method is a common tactic to help you structure your responses. Remember, using specific examples, data, or metrics are key to setting yourself apart from others. Apart from being "clear and direct," it's helpful to avoid speaking at too high a level or using hypotheticals during your interview unless your interviewer is asking specifically about a certain hypothetical situation.

Aligning on Values

We want to build a diverse team with many different experiences and backgrounds, so we are looking for shared values, not for similar interests or other things that can often result in bias.

Getting to Know your Manager

Having a manager who you’re excited to work with and learn from is really important. During your interviews, you will have a chance to spend time with your potential manager so you can get to know each other. Feel free to ask questions about their experience, management style, and expectations.

Role and Career

We want to get to know you as an individual by briefly walking through your pre-work life and the decisions that led you through your career. It also helps us understand what motivates you and what you're passionate about. It's a chance for you to tell us about your story and how you got to where you are now. This is more of a conversation than a formal interview, and the end goal is to learn about how to best support you through the longevity of your career here at Mux. There are specific questions that we'll use to walk through a few of your past roles. It may seem repetitive, but it helps us understand past performance, learnings, and motivations behind your career moves.

Outro

Your Hiring Manager will wrap up with you after your team interview to go over any lingering questions about the role, product, or company. Feel free to share any general feedback or takeaways you have as well!
